Look! A White Elephant!!!

Sorry I have been away for so long. Lots of stuff going on – some good, some not good – but I finally had some stuff that I really wanted to get onto my blog, and this is a quick and silly one.

So, the company had a Christmas party this year and we were going to do a White Elephant gift exchange. So, I came up with a creative idea for it and began the necessary work to implement it. Then, 3 days before the party, the gift exchange was cancelled. So, since I had already invested a decent amount of time into this gift, I decided not to stop at just 1 gift, but enough for everyone at the party (well, employees at the party). The following is what I came up with – each were framed individually, wrapped, and randomly selected by my coworkers (with the exception of 2)… (and of course, clicky to embiggenate)

Do I make you horny, baby? Yeah!!!

Why didn’t I think of that?

This morning I was right on time for work. But then I realized I had to get gas. So I stopped for gas. Then I was back on my way… and remembered that I forgot to take my Lactose meds. So I drove back home and grabbed my meds. Then I was finally off to work. At the main enterance to Desert Ridge (thanks for the map link, j0tt), I saw the coolest (to me) license plate ever…

DRMTH8R – Dream Theater!

Damn, why didn’t I think of that??? Oh right – because I already had YARSH.

Congratulations, PFC Handorf!

Just wanted to post so I could congratulate my best friend Randall for graduating from Army Basic Training.

Randall in Dress

Seriously, I am so proud of him for doing this. Joining the Army (National Guard) is something that I don’t think I could pull off.

Again, Congrats!

UPDATE: I have received a couple of additional pictures and thought I would share.

Tired of the ‘Dramatic Chipmunk’?…

If you happen to NOT be tired of the Dramatic Chipmunk, or have not yet seen variations of the theme, then click here. Otherwise, the following videos are for your viewing pleasure.

Guyz Nite may have created the awesomest song-tribute to a movie. I present… Die Hard! Note – this song does have a verse about ‘Live Free or Die Hard‘, but it really doesn’t give anything away. Also note – this song does contain some language. Yippi-kay-ay Mother F…

Next, is an oldie but a goodie. Oldie is subjective (it came out a few months ago), but I knew about it then and apparently didn’t blog it. So here is No More Kings‘ sweet song and even sweeter video “Sweep The Leg“. A song based around The Karate Kid. This song is pretty cool, but the best part is that all of the actors (with the exception of the band and a pizza-joint-managing Dennis “Mr. Belding” Haskins) are the same actors that were in the original movie.

Keytar Hero

One day I told Shorty that he should make a comic on his website about Guitar Hero… Actually, I told him he had to make a Keytar Hero comic panel. But he never did, so I took matters into my own hands…

I thought it was pretty funny and turned out very well (and done in a similar style to his website). I don’t really wish they made a Keytar Hero game – I love the Guitar Hero series on its own – but I thought the idea in general was damn funny. I let him post the image on his website yesterday, but had to do my own post for the other 2 of you to see my masterpiece. So here you go 🙂

YARSH ATTACKS WITH KEYTAR SOLO!!!! (room clears out…)

Happiness is a warm gun

So, my birthday was mighty fine. Didn’t do much really, but that’s kinda my style.

I got calls from many of you, others left me gifts (such as Abbi’s cupcakes… Yum!), and still others I got to see in person. I thank each and every one of you. Thank you Mark and John for the Breast Buy gift certificates.

My mom called me, and as soon as I answered she broke out in singing “Happy Birthday to You”, followed by her telling me that I now know where I get my musical talent from. I couldn’t help myself when I replied, “Yeah, and so does everybody else who heard you while I had you on speaker phone…”. She asked, “Are you kidding me?”, to which I replied yes. We had a good laugh about it, and she said that it could have been really embarassing… so instead of her being on speaker phone with 1 or 2 listeners, I give her the whole world. That’s how much I love her.

Other than that, it was a pretty lax day with a little work interspersed here and there. I’d rather be at work hanging out with a few friends and do a little work, than be sitting by myself at home.

The highlight of the day was when we went to the Scottsdale Gun Club for some shootin’. Members at SGC get a free machine gun rental on their birthdays, so obviously we had to go (I missed it last year). And obviously I rented one of the coolest guns ever – the Heckler & Koch MP5. Mark and Randall came along for the thrill. Plus Randall wanted to fire off his brand new Bushmaster AR-15. I didn’t really get many pictures (ok, I took only 1 – and it’s not even of me…), but the following is what I do have.

Free Rental of MP5
This here is my sales receipt. Notice the Free rental of the MP5, 2 Free magazines,
plus 3 additional magazines so that Mark and Randall got to enjoy the experience as well.

Kills Terrorists Dead
Here we have the silhouette target from the first 75 rounds from the MP5. Yeah, it’s accurate, even at full auto.

Randall and his new AR-15
Finally, Randall enjoying the first rounds through his AR-15.

After shooting, I went for some Jack in the Box and went home for the rest of the Suns game. It was a good day. I’ll celebrate properly with the Fam this weekend, and with friends and family probably on the 24th (a joint celebration for Johnny too). Who’s in?

Barret-Jackson 2007

I was finally able to go to Barret Jackson this year. I have never been to one, and yet have been to plenty of car shows in the Valley over the years. There were some sweet ass cars there, which you usually don’t get a chance to see. I forgot to bring my camera, as did Mark (though he got pics on the Bidder’s Preview day), so I took some shots with my phone. Here’s what I came out with (some quality issues though). Enjoy!

Note: Clicking the vehicle description brings up the Barret-Jackson description page, and clicking the images opens the full size image.
